Backup Wii Games Using Game Copy Software

Imagine the scene, your kids are bored and they want to play on the Wii. No problem, except Jimmy wants to play his soccer game while Rosie wants to play Pet Island or something. A fight breaks out, and pretty soon records are being thrown around the room. The next thing you know, a scene of carnage remains, and both the soccer game and Rosie’s animal adventure are smashed to pieces on the floor. Sounds crazy? Well, it’s not because that’s basically what happened to me, and I can tell you that it’s a costly lesson.

The problem with Wii games is that the discs are very easily damaged. Sticky juice, scratches, and yes, even troublesome kids can end up with an expensive ruptured drive. So why not just back up your original to a blank drive and use that instead? After all, if it breaks, you only have to spend $1 or so to replace it?

Well, the problem is that all Wii game discs are copy-protected, so you can’t just stick them in your laptop or home PC and make a quick copy. That is, unless you have some specialized game copy software. The problem is that the manufacturers don’t want you to make lots of copies to give to your friends, they want to sell this stuff, and for good reason. However, if you’ve bought the game, you should at least be able to protect your investment.

In any case, this game copy software is available as a digital download directly from the Internet. It’s very easy to set up and use and since it’s only a couple of megabytes in size, you don’t even need a fast broadband connection to get it. To make a backup of Wii games, all you have to do is place the original in the drive and click the green button to create an image on your PC’s hard drive. Then change the original disc to a blank one and burn the image file to the blank space. The entire process involves a couple of mouse clicks and only takes about 30 minutes or so.

Furthermore, you can also use this software to copy DVD movies, music CDs and even Xbox 360 and PS3 games. In fact, anything on an optical disc can be backed up in no time.

Don’t risk your originals, get copy software and back up your library of games and movies, it’s much cheaper than buying a replacement copy from Rosie.
