Both are high-quality mineral makeup with mostly natural ingredients that are endorsed by most dermatologists. And both have SPF sun protection, and both are buildable, adaptable products that can double as concealers when mixed with liquid mineral makeup. Amazing Base by nature is loose mineral powder, which means the texture you get from the product is bigger, thicker, and tends to spread all over the place as the powder doesn’t stick as well. Purepressed is finely ground into smaller particles and therefore retains a cleanliness as the powder is pressed and dense. Due to this difference in manufacturing, both have a different effect on the skin and require different application strategies.
The end:
Purepressed tends to be more matte than Amazing Base. However, over-applying will result in an ashy, chalky face that can lead to added shine if skin oils come out during the day. So be careful: be very light with sheer pressure!
