10 great tips to prevent your AdSense from closing!

You can avoid AdSense Meltdown by remembering a few simple rules. The main one is that Google likes you to follow its rules, so to keep your AdSense account, that’s exactly what you have to do!

Here are some of the easiest to forget!

1) Simple and straightforward if you open an account don’t click your own ads! Yes, it may be tempting, but don’t do it. It is strictly against the Google Terms of Conditions. This is classified as click fraud. They also have regular checks for any click abuse.

2) Do not click on the ads of other publishers. This is also against Google’s Terms of Conditions. Why should that be? I’ll never know because you could be a potential customer!

3) Do not encourage your friends or family to click on your ads! Doing this is also against Google’s Terms, as you must not encourage clicks on ads.

4) Do not tell your friends or family that you have a site with AdSense ads. The reason for this is purely because friends and family may be tempted to click on them too in a misguided attempt to help you.

5) Don’t place ads on sites you don’t like, eg gambling or sex sites! Here they just don’t allow their ads because they don’t like to encourage gambling in any way, shape or form or adult, mature or porn sex sites.

6) Use ads that blend in with your site and preferably text ads. By combining your ads on your site to match the context and environment as much as possible within Google’s guidelines, your visitor will feel less overwhelmed than if they were suddenly faced with a large number of intrusive ads.

7) Use banner or tower ads sparingly and only if you can combine them well. These can be combined when care is taken when designing the site from the start.

8) Don’t spam to get people to visit your site. Under Google’s terms, they don’t like you spamming and they don’t like anyone else besides spammers either, so there’s no point in doing so.

9) Do not try to remove or cover the Ads By Google sign. Trying to hide the fact that they’re Google ads will also get your account terminated, so as above, try to be as subtle as possible when mixing them up.

10) Last but not least, check the Google AdSense rules periodically for updates. Google updates its Publisher ToCs (Terms of Conditions) on a regular basis, as people find different ways of interpreting its rules. So make sure you keep up with them because if you don’t, one day you’ll wake up to find that you can’t log into your account.
